No More Funerals!

Okay, 2 funerals in one month is enough! Rod's Grandma Robison was in her 80's and was ready to go. We all felt happy for her, and it was such a joyous time with family. (Sad for Rod's sisters because Grandma felt like their last piece of their mother) but all in all, a bitter sweet.

This last week... not so much the same. This one happened to friends- tragic and unexpected. We went to the viewing and funeral of our friends, the Coburns this weekend. David Coburn and two of his beautiful little girls- Kaitlyn (almost 9) and Ellie (4) were taken back to our Heavenly Father last Saturday May 17, due to their terrible truck accident. And little Taylor (6) is in the hospital recovering from her injuries. She is going to be okay- thank goodness!

The viewing was hard, but the little girls looked beautiful and peaceful. Emily is so strong and it was good to be able to see her and her family and see that they are holding up good. (Even though we know they have even tougher times of grieving ahead.) The funeral today was beautiful and very well attended! The chapel and gym were filled to the stage in the back. There were so many friends and family there to support the Coburn and Conklin families. There were EMT's and others involved in the rescue efforts who attended. The Sweet Fire Dept. lead the procession to the cemetary with their fire trucks (which Rod and I didn't go to). But what an outpouring of love and support from all over the area! It was wonderful and amazing, but not at all surprising.

The Coburn family has a benefit fund set up at US Bank for donations. They really need everyone's help!! You can go to any US Bank and donate to the Coburn fund. Please help! Also, Graples in Nampa, ID is having there store open on Saturday June 7th from 10am to 3pm (usually only open on Thursdays) and everything they sell that day- the money will go to the Coburn fund. Amazing! I know the owners of that store and they are such good, generous people.
